The architectual elements I have captured below, illustrate moments of reveal between built form and nature creating a powerful sense of delight that speaks to me as both a designer and an onlooker. Namchetolukla is an online photography business my husband and I created to share our love for photography, travel, nature and culture.
Photography is an artistic medium that expresses the hidden narrative embedded within. I am drawn to the unknown, theorising what lies beyond the surface. Each glance can lead to a new finding or perspective, shedding new light. The whimsical play between light and shadow, linearity and pattern, tone and vibrance and the contrast between hard and soft edges convey not only different forms and textures but emotional connections to those elements. It is the relationship between the photographer and the subject that creates such an expression, yet the viewer interprets their own version of meaning, either intended or unintended. This ability to manipulate or evoke emotional reactions, be it nostalgic, innate or relatable to one's circumstances, is what makes photography such a compelling and creative medium. It is the unique experience of the senses that has captured my heart.
