Places
"The responsibility of an architect is to create a sense of order, a sense of place, a sense of relationship" Richard Meier
Spaces become places when they act as significant stimulators of the senses; when they evoke memorable experiences, provide a strong sense of ownership within the place or a sense of connection to the spatial qualities and elements of the design. This is about placemaking for the people.
Drawing from the needs and desires of humanity, we are able to embed a relatable essence into our designs, which result in providing a strong sense of place. Thorough user analysis as well as cultural and contextual understanding is essential to determine appropriate and legible visual axis, circulation, activated edges and other design principles that meaningfully impact the user's experience within the place. By ensuring the user experience is at the forefront of the design process, a more successful outcome is inevitable.
Health and happiness go hand in hand between people and place. To feed the people you must first feed the place. Designers possess the power to care for both, bringing communities together in wonderful places.
